Ghost V2 and the question nobody could answer
Ask a small sales team which campaign produced last quarter's best deal. Most can't tell you. Not because they're careless. Because the answer is spread across five or six tools that never talk to each other.
That's the problem Ghost V2 is built around. The full launch write-up is on the Ghost blog: Introducing Ghost V2. Here's why it matters beyond the feature list.
Shipped
Ghost V2. One go-to-market platform covering the whole path from finding a prospect to closing the deal:
- A 600M contact B2B database with buying signals like hiring and funding.
- An ICP Agent that sources, enriches and scores contacts on a schedule, with a Lead Score from 0 to 100.
- An Agentic Campaign Creator that turns a short brief into a draft campaign.
- LinkedIn and email in one sequence, with replies in one inbox.
- An optional Content Engine for LinkedIn posts in your voice.
- A Pipeline CRM that turns replies into deals and reports revenue by source.
- The Ghost MCP, so you can run it from Claude Code, ChatGPT or Grok.
One plan. Existing customers get V2 at no extra cost.
Broke
The stack most founders run. A database here, an enrichment tool there, LinkedIn automation, an email sequencer, a CRM, and a spreadsheet holding it all together.
Every join is a place where information leaks out. A reply comes in and the context for it lives somewhere else. A warm lead goes quiet because the reminder sits in an app nobody opened. A deal closes and the trail back to where it started is gone.
One lesson
Shared data beats more features.
The headline of V2 isn't any single module. It's that they all work from the same data. That's what closes the loop: find, prioritise, reach, close, then learn which of those steps actually produced revenue. Skip the last step and next quarter starts with the same blind spots as this one.
One more thing worth noticing. The agent does the sourcing, the scoring and the drafting, but nothing sends until you approve it. That gate matters. Speed is cheap now. Your name on a bad message isn't.
What to do with this
Whatever you use, try the test from the top of this post. Pick your best deal from the last few months and trace it back to the first touch. If that takes you a minute, your setup is working. If it takes an afternoon, or you can't do it at all, the problem isn't your copy or your list. It's the seams between your tools.
Fix the seams first. Then worry about volume.
Your time is the bottleneck, not your copy
Founder-led outbound rarely fails on message quality. It fails on hours. Hand AI the prep and keep the selling.
Starting the build log
Why I'm writing one post a month about what I'm building, and the four-part format every post will follow.
Why an AI SDR needs its own CRM
Ghost now has a built-in CRM. Here's why a tool that starts conversations has to be able to finish them.
